Macleods Pharmaceuticals SA invites energized candidates to build confident advocacy for a therapeutic strategy through leadership, education, and development of partnerships with key External Experts and Professional Bodies. Medical Marketing Managers can apply for this position in the Marketing division at Head Office, based in Paarl.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement brand and marketing strategy
• Develop relationships with Sales Managers
• Collecting and analysing client feedback
• Close liaison with the field force to assess the response to and suitability of current promotional material and to ensure that the printed promotional material is being used optimally
• Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues in Sales and Regulatory to address any issues that may arise
• Builds and pro-actively maintains critical relationships with key thought leaders locally and internationally in terms of therapeutic areas in order to drive best in class product management
• Develop medical KOLs to create a successful reference network for clinical and technical validation
• Support regional marketing to coordinate local events including major conferences and product launch events
• Develops deep understanding of the local patient-population demography, dynamics and healthcare needs and uses this knowledge to inform strategy development
• Work to analyse customer needs, current market conditions and competitor information and recommend appropriate strategies/ initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

• • MBChB
  • Experience with marketing strategy development
  • Strong understanding of healthcare market and market trends
  • Fluent in English and high level of computer / digital literacy
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or clinical trials industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to apply and communicate scientific and medical knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and professionally to timelines once objectives are set
